Course Overview
Sarf (Arabic Morphology) is the branch of Arabic language studies that deals with word structure and patterns. While Nahw focuses on sentence structure and grammar, Sarf focuses on how individual words are formed, changed, and derived from root letters.
This course delves into two important morphological constructs in Arabic: diminution and attribution. Through this course, you will learn how to form and apply diminutive patterns to indicate smallness, affection, or specificity, as well as how to construct ascription forms to attribute things to people, places, or qualities.
